Morocco: Beacon of Freedom of Speech?

Moroccan blogger Badr Al'Hamry on Agora [Ar], expresses his solidarity with Idriss Shahtan, director of Al Mishaal weekly newspaper, and president of the Khenifra branch of the Moroccan Association for Human Rights [Ar] who will stand accused of publishing a dossier that is discourteous to a relative of the king of Morocco in a court trial on June 16. The blogger quotes a declaration by an ad-hoc solidarity committee [Ar] and links to several other solidarity web pages [Ar].

Hi,i do thank you for this opportunity to address my deep concerns about the actual situation where Mr Shahtan, actually serving a sentence in jail, his wife on Hespress site was calling loudly the Moroccan authorities and the public to look at the health issue that is deteriorating, and it is so critical, please if you could add your voice to this pannel in order to give a push to other voices to joing in.
    Salaam
