Palestine: The Future Of Gaza?

A foreign NGO worker in Gaza writing at The Ugliest Faces of Humanity tells us what many Gazans think their fate will be: “The moment Egypt opens up the border, over 40% of the population will leave, and only Hamas members will remain. Then Israel will launch another more aggressive attack and wipe out the Gaza Strip.”

I don’t know who this anonymous worker is, but he’s clearly 100% biased. He gives zero credibility to any side but his own. Also, he doesn’t give any sources for his “facts” and “quotes.” He probably only asked a selected group of people, and let hyperbole take care of the rest. No one is wiping out anything, except maybe Iran trying to wipe out Israel. Think of it this way, if Israel wanted to wipe out Gaza, why not just carpet bomb it, or drop a nuke? Why stop the attack? Why provide them with humanitarian aid? Clearly this is incorrect.

I cannot help but say that if I were trapped in a pen, as the people of Gaza are, I would certainly leave, except if I were convicted of a nationalism that defies everything that I have ever known. I have been there and I certainly would not be tied to anything in that area, Israel included. I would not give you 10 cents an acre for any land in the whole area. Come to Louisiana, Palestinians! We love you! And, we have green pastures and we don’t have Israelis next door who will kill you at will.
