Evgeny Morozov writes [1] on Newsweek.com about a case of censorship by a U.S. web-hosting company involving a Washington, D.C.-based Belarusian, Yaraslau Kryvoi – LJ user yarik, whose own English-language account of what happened is here [2]: “When I called for clarifications, a Bluehost representative told me that I “abused” their terms of service because I happened to be in Belarus when I set up my account with them. […] According to Bluehost, Belarus is a “Sanctioned Country” and this is why I am not good enough to be their customer.”
