Kenya: Video game teaches youth to avoid AIDS

Pamoja Mtaani (Together in the Hood) is a video game that teaches Kenyan youth how to avoid contracting HIV, the virus that causes AIDS.

  • yes, I agree with this issue. we have to avoid danger and protect our health, like ICT said “Serious games for serious health problems”

  • In theory the game is supposed to teach youth about HIV. I watched people play it at the Generation G-panga and couldn’t see how it taught much. I also asked some teenagers in Kibera who played it what it had to do with HIV. They didn’t know, they said they were too busy playing the game to notice.
