Zimbabwe: Take Action For Roy Bennet

Sokwanele's call for action to support Roy Bennet: Please call (or sms the cell) these numbers to let the police holding Roy Bennett know that the world is watching very closely and want Roy Bennett to be released immediately. Tell them you will continue to monitor the situation closely, and that you are conveying your concerns to your local MP and the government in your country.

The holding of Mr Bennet is nothing other than the abuse of resources and power by parasitic ticks of Robert Mugabes security forces.

ZANU PF lost the 2008 election. ZANU PF has ruined zimbabwe. South Africa’s (my own country) silence has led to even greater misery and tears for a country who could have been saved 7 years ago when the rot started.

You are my hero Mr Bennet. you stand for light and good governance while your persocuters stand for falsehood, greed and lies.

I will no longer vote for the ANC if nothing is said. I have written as much to them.

  • I have just started a group on Facebook. Please look up Karen Clegg and join the Free Roy Group. We need to mobilise world action to demand his freedom. We can do this is a group. Sign up today so you can be part of a global movement.

    Thanks

It sad to note that such misfortunes still continue to haunt our beloved son of the soil (Roy). Bob -you must know that these evil deeds of yours will also haunt you one of these days. Why do you hurt Roy Bennet so much? He is a man of honour who is just fighting for the voice of ordinary poor Zimbabweans to be heard. Long Live MDC, free Bennett!

It is imperative for the sake of saving the fragile unity government deal that Roy Bennet is released immediately. Roy is a hero of the struggle for freedom in Zimbabwe, which is precisely why he has been arrested and it is indicative that ZANUPF continues to oppress the people of Zimbabwe in spite of the agreement. Those responsible for his arrest have no right to do so and no mandate from the people whose rights they themselves stole several years ago by implementing an oppressive dictatorship, an action which makes them guilty of treason against the people of Zimbabwe. They are the ones who shouold be on trial for treason – not Roy Bennet, who has simply served the people he legitimately represents with great courage in the face of a vicious onslaught by a vindictive, illegitimate and brutal regime. Shame on the ANC for lending those criminals moral support for so many years while the masses have suffered so terribly. If they have any moral values whatsoever, they will demand his immediate release.
