Singapore: Art culture is a joke?

The Temple of Thoughts comments on the state of arts in Singapore: “Singapore is too efficient. We all got to admit, it’s clean, green, but sterile and concrete. Our art culture is a joke, and as much as we want to call ourselves vibrant and cultured, we still have a lot to learn about courtesy and values.”

I wouldn’t say it’s a joke. There is some good art going on, but you have to know where to find it.

At the risk of sounding biased, I think the performances at LASALLE College of the Arts are of quite a high standard. (Disclosure: I am a student at LASALLE)

I don’t know about green though – green as in environmental? I think there’s still quite a bit of progress to be made there.
