With more than 15 new titles, Egyptian bloggers take the 2009 Cairo International Book Fair by storm.

Mohamed Hamdy wrote [1]:

Once again the Egyptian bloggers proved to maintain their spot under the sun; those young minds took up blogging to draw attention to what they had to say to, and about, their society. Today their undeniable presence is recognized in the 2009 Cairo International Book Fair's first seminar that discusses the growing phenomenon of bloggers’ Literature. The seminar is organized by the renowned writer Youssef Al Ka'eed and bloggers Ghada Abdel Aal, Shady Aslan, and Mayada Medhat will speak of their experiences as literary bloggers.
Countless blogger books are to be seen on the racks; Mohamed El Tohamy has two new books – “Hierapolis” and “Work from Home” – in addition to a reprint of his first novel, “A Human Being on Hold.” “Sadism” is a new novel by blogger Mohamed Al Ghazaly. Hossam Mostafa Ibrahim has three new books: “But for Love“, “Out of Helplessness,” and “The Daily Diaries of a Teacher in the Countryside.” Khaled El Sawy, an actor, a writer, a poet, and a blogger, published his poetry titled “Bells,” a play named “Mind Games,” and a novel called “Kholoud's Diaries.” Writer, journalist, and critic Howaida Saleh published a book named after her blog: “Girls Infatuation.”
There is also a new phenomenon worth mentioning and that is when two bloggers co-author a book. Badria Taha and Basma Abdel Baset started it with their book “What do Girls Want?” followed by Mohamed Kamal Hassan and Mostafa Al Husseiny with their book: “Egyptian's Cafe.” Sahar Ghareeb is expecting her book “My Mother-in-law is an Angel” and Mohamed Fathi is expecting a collection of essays in a book titled “Egypt seen from the Balcony.” Facebook swarmed with invitations to groups and events promoting the books and the book fair.
My question is: Are we witnessing a historical moment that is turning blogging from the screen to print? What are the borderlines of those authors behind the screen?

Blogger Ahmed Al Sabbagh [2] created a Facebook group and a variety of events for bloggers who are interested in group visits to the fair, rather than going on their own. The group has almost 2,000 members and the days for the chosen visits are aligned with weekends.

Because a lot of friends and bloggers have asked for group visits to the fair, I have founded a Facebook group [3] for the Cairo International Bookfair 2009, which currently has more than 1,700 members, and I suggest four group visits on the following days:

January 23
January 24
January 30
January 31

In addition to the books mentioned in Mohamed Hamdy's notes, Ahmed Al Sabbagh found more bloggers’ books:

Al Sabbagh wrote here [8]about Hesham Abbeya's book: “M Case” and here [9]about Nancy Habib's book: “I love the Cinema.”
