Armenia: Opposition Trial

Unzipped comments on news that seven prominent opposition member including one former foreign minister and three MPs are due to go on trial in Yerevan later this week charged with attempting to violently overthrow the government after the presidential election held earlier this year. The blog says that all signs are that the international community is keeping a watchful eye on proceedings and that in a country where the independence of the judiciary is questionable to say the least, notes that the opposition have set up their own blog to monitor the trial.
