India: First photographs of Mumbai blasts on flickr

The first photographs from Mumbai on flickr are coming up. Vinu from Vinu's Online Cloud has uploaded a lot of photographs from the streets of Mumbai.

MumbaiHelp is back online and offering to make call for anyone who can't get through to their families and friends.

Leave a message if you're trying to get through to pals in the city.

Preferably leave a cellphone number for both yourself and your friends / family, and we'll try and SMS them.

Tip: Suggest you avoid calling. Lines are bound to be screwed. SMS direct instead.

Meanwhile, Gauravonomics writes on “Real Time Citizen Journalism in Mumbai Terrorist Attacks”

The Mumbai terrorist attack is now on the front page of Google News and Mahalo is doing a great job of compiling the story as it unfolds.

The first photos of the Mumbai terrorist attacks are up on CNN-IBN and NDTV and both (CNN-IBN and NDTV) are streaming live video feeds of the unfolding situation.

I’ll be updating this post with more citizen generated resources on the Mumbai terrorist attacks as they are put up.

We should have divided pakistan into 100000 pieces in 1971….Pakistan is the training centre for world terrorism….Kashmiris are their servants who are helping those pakistanis..Anyways it’s not the time to blame someone..but one thing is clear Indian politics is totally handicapped in handling terror attacks…

How many times do we have to see such attacks??how many more cities will be targeted ??do our politicians have an ANSWER.. Who is responsible for this situation ,Do we blame our neighboring country ,or the underworld or our own people whom we have elected ,Or Ourselves for being so insensitive towards the pain of our fellow human being ???Why do we have to keep quite ?is there nothing that we can do to help protect our country from such attacks in future .Lets stop playing this blame game and lets start thinking what we can do from our end to bring change. We Indians are Angry ,but this anger has to be used constructively to develop our Nation and show these terrorist that they cannot dampen our spirits ,WE Indians are United ,we are ONE And u will never be successful in your dirty plan…But beware DO NOT TAKE OUR SILENCE FOR GRANTED .

A sustained effort from all quarters of society is required if we want to avoid such incidences from reoccuring. Every time such incident happens everyone talks a lot, shows sympathy and after 4-5 days it is business as usaual except for near and dear ones who have lost their lives or injured in such ghastly acts. Neither media nor general public tries to keep track of what measures are being taken by (ir)responsible authorities/ politicians to ensure saftey of citizens of India. All politician and beurocrats enjoy high level of securities and are a rare victim in such incident.
