Kosmopolito writes [1] that in Romania, “[t]he fight against corruption is ongoing and is progressing according to schedule: endless” – and as the country prepares for the parliamentary election on Nov. 30, “[m]ost likely it will not vote”: “Those who will vote, will have to choose pretty much the same thing. There is no specific difference among the candidates. The same usual suspects.” Transatlantic Politics reports [2] that “Romanian Liberal Party – currently in government – is flirting with the idea to get a lucrative deal with Gazprom and a quick gain, even if it means to sacrifice the country’s energy independence on the long run.”
