well i have gone thru the list .. i dont see his name even in the top 50.. but what difference does it make……i dont understand y this proppagation about his being 2nd best.. i dont mind even if he top 200.. he is stiil trhe elected mayor of karachi.. trying hard.. thats good enough.. there should be no nonsense of him being 2 best… it shall degrade us all ..specially the city people who really like him

  • Though i truly agree with Mustufa Kamal’s ability, qualitative execution of smart plans and his hardwork, but i believe you all need to go through the TRUTH as well rather than believing the false and exaggerated flip-side of the coin:

We are very innocent people and most of our nation is illiterate and continuous attempts are being made to make us fool as we hardly understand the language of our previous masters, i.e., Britain. My curiosity lead me to investigate as to which organization has ranked Mr. Kamal as world’s second best mayor of the city which is still having dozens of issues like parking, traffic jams, VVIP movements, security, road side stalls, availability of products in market at the price higher than the prices announced by the city price control committee. Read the following and you will get to know that how such a news has been propagated. There was no ranking on the Foreign Policy Magazine. Rather the polling for world’s best mayor was done on http://www.worldmayor.com and the mayor of Karachi was not even in the list of last 50 short listed mayors.

i went through the whole list of mayors in the hope that pakistan could be listed among the best in anything list… i could not find the mayor’s name or pakistan mentioned anywhere. the list ends at 50 so the people congratulating him for the 57th place should share the basis of their information with this group. i do not live in karachi and have no clue about what kind of mayor mr kamal is, but the misinformation is in very bad taste.

Sami – KARACHI does not love him – speak for yourself – and how about u step out of your little hole and look at teh rest of Karachi where children are dying of diaherrea because of proper drinking water and lack of medical facilities, or developing chest infections because of the smoke clouds that are developing because of traffic congetion, pollution, and piles of dust left behind after “developing” bridges and roads.

If some one ignore the achievement of Mustafa Kamal member of MQM. These type of people actually not sincere with Pakistan. I lives in canada and last month i went to pakistan and I saw with my open eyes which is really great work no doubt he is best mayor. I consider him number one mayor because it is very hard to work in pakistan where the system does not allowed to educated and middle class people. think abaout reality. God bless MQM.

    “The Mayors of the Moment”

No city globalizes on its own. But with shrewd investments and smart urban planning, a mayor can help turn a regional player into a global powerhouse. Here’s how three of the world’s top mayors are climbing the ladder:

well i don’t know why we pakistanis are so idiots, well it is been proved that Mustafa Kamal is #2 mayor among “The Mayors of the Moment”
yes Karachi is on # 57 not Mustafa Kamal
i feel most of the people just talking crab because of haterade.
well my dear pakistani friends you guys need to understand when you discuss the country or its image, just forget the political affliations.
i dont care what do u think of MQM and ALtaf Hussain
all i care and appreciate one of my country man noticed globaly
dont go to far in haterade
    love u all
    saif

i dont want to say a loat but wish if we have more people like saif, who see things without politically affiliation and appriciate people who are doing good job. i am not associated with MQM but i do admire Mr. Kamal’s efforts to build karachi to its best. we should all do as its good for all the people who lives in karachi. No mayor since pakistan got indipendence has done a fraction of what he has done. so please guys be broad minded and dont put someone down for just hatered or political background.
