Good job mustafa bhai… i wish our all city nazims follow ur steps as beside having billions of rupees in their budgets no other mayer of the country doing any work for the progress and there is hardly any city of our country camparing Karachi in any respect, (shame on all PPP’s and Nawaz LEague’s NAzims)

This is in reply to the fool who thinks paki people are fool. I guess you are one on these wanna be people…

Rather then exposing your childishness, i’ll respond to your post…..

Are we arguing Mr. Kamal is #57 or #3 in the WORLD?? Hello, wake up guys even if it is 57 in the world, it is an honor for each an every Pakistani. It is world we are talking about not south asia, not Asia, … it the World ranking.

As far as the argument of ranking is concern – it depends on how you read the article. Any ways forget about the ranking, every pakistani should celebrate that he is being ranked and only 3 of the mayor efforts have been appreciated.

I would request people to research before posting the article. Don’t miss lead people and don’t degrade your country.

Salam Mustafa Kamal. you are on the top and you deserve to be on the top. All Pakistanis are behind you.

we are proud of Mustafa kamal, not for becoming one of the best mayer, but for the work he has done for karachi and pakistan. i have never seen karachi as beutiful and easy to go around before. even his opponents admire his work. i hope we can get more Mustafa kamals in pakistan so we can develop wholepakistan not only karachi. may Allah keep him and pakistan in peace.

It is irrespective of whether Mustafa Kamal is good or bad. We may have statements in favour and against him. The question is that whether the report is right or wrong. No one could deny that whatever is being dissimnated by MQM, media and thousands of banners (costing millions of rupees) all around karachi is absolutely wrong. The absurdity of this information is well addressed by the referred journal http://blog.foreignpolicy.com/node/10285

What impression we Pakistani giving to the world? Just have a search on various blogs and read how people are laughing on us….

What a let off for me being pakistani

Syed Mustafa Kamal Mayor of Karachi (#57)

The new mayor of Karachi is an unlikely poster child for innovative urban planning. The 36-year-old Syed Mustafa Kamal governs a city that’s more often in the news for religious violence than cosmopolitan ways. But the hard-charging Kamal is looking to change all that. He’s courting foreign investment, encouraging international ties, and boosting the city’s tourism. Kamal isn’t shy about his goals: He has said he wants to turn Karachi into the “next Dubai.” His Green Karachi project aims to plant thousands of trees in the city. No stranger to Karachi’s bare-knuckled politics, Kamal isn’t letting anything stand in the way of his grand plans: He has threatened to arrest anyone who tries to cut down the new saplings.

HE MIGHT NOT BE THE SECOND BEST MAYOR IN THE WORLD, BUT ITS AN HONOUR FOR US THAT HE HAS BROUGHT A BLOOMING CITY LIKE KARACHI TO THE 57TH PLACE, SURELY EVERYONE WOULD AGREE THAT PEOPLE COMING FROM MIDDLE CLASS LIKE OURS LIKE MUSTAFA KAMAL HAVE TURNED THINGS AROUND, LOOK HOW EASILY WE COULD MAKE IT TO GULSHAN & DEFENCE AND THAT ROADS ,SURELY KARACHI HAS PROGRESSED WITH MUSTAFA KAMAL, THOSE WHO DONT AGREE PROBABLY DONT AGREE WITH MQM POLICIES BUT LETS TAKE MUSTAFA KAMAL AS AN INDIVIDUAL, AS AN INDIVIDUAL HE HAS TURNED KHI AROUND.
