Caucasus: Geocaching

Categories: Central Asia & Caucasus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Travel

West of Igdir introduces its readers to geocaching [1] — an outdoor treasure-hunting game in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver to find hidden containers — in the South Caucasus. The blog comments on geocaching in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia, but says that the former is the most active in this area [2]. It also wonders if geocaching wouldn't appeal to tourists or hikers.
