Sean Guillory of Sean's Russia Blog writes ^[1] about the 90th anniversary of Komsomol, quoting a former functionary: “It was the best school for managers!” Dmitri Minaev of De Rebus Antiquis Et Novis, who has “never been in komsomol,” shares personal memories in an item of his own ^[2], and also comments on Sean's entry: “School for managers… Could be. Is this why I, an engineer and a natural enemy for all managers, can’t talk to a manager without wishing to give him a punch or two, in the hope that the increasing Brownian motion in the stuff that fills his skull might make him THINK?”
