China: Opening ceremony deceptions continue to disappoint

This is starting to get a bit brutal; news today that the children seen in the harmonious 56 ethnic minorities—China's version of a multicultural policy—portion of the Olympics opening ceremony were actually all Han. Writes Twitter user @FrankYu: “China's Opn Cer. is facing a loss of credibility on the scale of the Wizard of Oz.”

Watch the ceremony of the lighting of the flame in Olympia on YouTube. Beautiful and moving, on the ancient grounds, focused on the meaning of the Games, quiet ritual and no spectacle. It would look the same even with no audience.

you are partially right, the monks dope and also pray ;-)

That’s why they choose dalai as representative speaker LOL

I wonder what dope he uses?

Actually the most beautiful pictures I’ve seen so far have nothing to do with the Olympics. There is a photographer who has pics of around the city, sunsets, the market, the sea (I know the algae was a pain for China, but the pics of the sea have been amazing), all kinds of things that aren’t usually shown. I guess it’s like living in your own hometown – you don’t think about sending pics of your neighborhood to anyone – they will visit you and see for themselves. So far the most interesting tv span showed a professional kite maker, and a kite museum. The colors are stupendous!

if the dope you used bring pain to yourself, you have to find other alternative :-)

No drugs here, buddy. We don’t need them. Keep your bs to yourself. The rest of us are just enjoying the scenery. Literally.

Enjoy the scenery, good alternative to cease your pain. But if you can’t, keep your pain just to yourself and accept it. Dope bring more pain to you, can’t help
