  • This is shame on Humanity, America and Mussaraf who handed over this innocent lady to these butures just on an alligation of assulting an american solider.
For the last five years she has been going through hell.
We need person like Mohammed Bin Qasim to resuce her not pimps like Mussarafs.

So where are my popular moderate, main stream muslims, specially of North America? Where are they? Who’s got your tongue? Why can’t I see a demonstration, hue & cry from Muslims of North America? And back home, the pro-western and modern Pakistanis why aren’t you giving your input. Are you waiting for the time when your daughters will be dragged from home and then humiliated infront of the world by western soldiers?

And where are so-called Fair minded and civilized people of the West? I don’t hear Angelina Jolie making a Mighty Heart on the story of Afia Siddiqui?

This is the truth! I wish if we Muslims realize the true face of the West. Though it should not be a surprise, as many Afia siddiquis were being held and tortured throughout the past 40 year period in Israeli jails. But ofcourse we pakistanis didn’t know much about it. When one of our own is there – we come to know.

Back to the point – this is the time to see who is on your side. Is your American media covering the story? Are they telling only the recent events or the informing you about all the events since 2003? Are they making a media trial against her? Let’s see how civil rights vocalists come out in favor of Hijabi Muslim woman – alleged to be a terrorist. No one will.

And this i tell you ‘my fellow Pakistanis’, its a sign! Its a sign to wake you up and show you the real face of your so-called Western Friends. We were led astray by songs of universal unity like, ‘We are the world’, and stories and movies about racism. But now, its time to wake up. Racisim and religion-ism is very much strong in America – may be not in the streets but probably more in the minds and policies of people working in white house and Capitol Hill.

This is the reason, that after every few months Muslims are subjected to some sort of hate, either its a caricature of their holiest symbols or its a violation and humilition of their daughter.

This is the time to inform your children who your friends are. You were mis-led by hollywood, dont let that happen to your children. Inform them who is their friend before its too late.

yesterday was listening to our national songs on the television, where the isnger about us being the proud pakistanis and followers of Allah/Muhammad. for a moment i thought to myself, can we call our selves Muhammadi or Mustavvi when the daughters of ths nation are kidnapped and tortured. We talk about killing women in name of honour, where is this honour when one of our sister is being humiliated and tortured by American Government/Troops.

Where are all those brothers who are willing to sacrifice their lives should even a slight harm come to their sisters? Where are you????

Do we even have a right to celebrate our Independence Day proudly? I just feel asahmed that i cannot do more than write and protest about my poor sister…

This is one example of missing person. What about many others who were sold to USA and missing since picked up by above the law Agencies.

DR AFIAs CASE?? IS BUSH ANY THING DIFFERENT THAN HITLER.

  • Quite a strange thing. This lady with her three children was supposedly in the US custody for the last five years and nobody said anything.

I wonder what has happened NOW that all of a sudden so many sympathizers along with Human Rights Societies have woke up. Dr. Afia’s elder sister Dr. Fawzia Siddiqui knew about the arrest of her sister. On December 30, 2003 Dr. Fawzia met with Interior Minister of that time to discuss the release of her sister. Probably she also met with Mr. Ajaz ul Haq, the then MNA. So everybody knew where is Dr. Afia but nobody did anything about that. Nobody means all those people who have created an uproar now.

Human Rights organizations are strange monsters. They themselves don’t know what is going on around them. You have to go and tell them. Then they will wake up and try to be champion. What a grabage?

    Now let us see what these sympathizers are doing. I have read 17 comments above this box. Here are their comments in a nutshell;

Bush is bad. America is bad.
Dr. Afia is a daughter of a Muslim nation
    Muslims are not doing anything
    This is America’s new world
Somebody said they can not celebrate independence day. Though they have been celebrating for the last five years.
Some of the comments has shown sympathy to Dr. Afia (that is good)

But can these things help in anyway to change the public opinion in the US. Particularly when it is said that after her arrest flashes were shown on TVs in the US that she is dangerous terrorist. I don’t know it is true or not.

Anyway, the only charge I have seen against her is that she rented a post office box in the US for an other person named Majid Khan who is an Al Qaeda suspect.

What I think, her supporters should have done is go out and find out whether renting a post office box and its use by another person (other than owner) is legal or not in the US. Then try to find out who is Majid Khan. Does this person really exist in this universe. If Majid Khan is only a suspect than he is not a criminal. So Dr. Afia did not give keys (or combination) to a criminal to do his criminal actities.

So what I want to say is that talk something logic. Find the truth. Prepare your case and tell the people about the truth.

At least so called Human Rights organizations should have gathered this information.

Pakistani nation use emotions more than logic. The results are not different than what you expect.

A Neuroscientist gets married to an Al-Aqeda operative??? What was her dissertation about – “into the mind of a martyer”? What is wrong with you all. Why don’t you read the facts first. She has in ineresting background. She hates America but went to get the job there because her husband kicked her out. Her sister’s shenegans are outrageous. Why are they trying to divert the attention from the main case?

  • Mukhtar

@ Aamir, Why she got sympathies??? still need an answer?
She is one who has been traced and found in US custody in miserable condition. All other missing from Pakistan are most probably got same treatment. The only sin they had was they dis-agreed with American government policies. Is this the democracy and human rights that USA want to impose on whole world.
Most of Pakistani once loved USA because of Social Justice, Freedom of Speech and Human Rights. But what has been done to Iraqi, Afghani and Pakistani Muslims directly and Palestinians indirectly shows real picture of USA. Their this attitude has definitely changed the minds of Muslim World. Muslims are there but they have been made slaves and chained in IMF, UN, WTO policies which are specially designed to keep them backward.
