Frank of the blog Kenya Christian is wondering why the press, politicians and civil society are ignoring last week's video in which William Ole Ntimama -Kenya's Minister for National Heritage- admitted being responsible for the killing of 600 Kenyans during the post-electoral violence. The blog is starting a Ntimama Daily Watch “to keep the issue alive”.

I commend my fellow bloggers for starting he watch but I honestly think it’s a waste of time. The Kenyan media was quick to cover up the tape and for the sake of this so-called peace we are enjoying everyone is quick to pretend it didn’t happen. 5 years from now when the next explosive election is held we will all pretend we don’t know what caused the conflict? The history of Kenya is a history of political impunity and thuggery. Today not a single conviction has been recorded for massive corruption and the violence that saw thousands die and many more left homeless. How can anyone expect Kibaki and company to do anything about Ntimama when they are birds of the same feather?
The kenyan middle class(human righs activists, lawyers, journalists)all believe if we ignore it .It will be ok we dont want to rock the boat because we have “peace” But how long will impunity be tolerated
