Brunei: Expensive birthday celebration

Dear Brunei asks if it is really necessary to build road arks, billboards and banners to celebrate the birthday of the Sultan of Brunei. The money, according to the blogger, should be given to charity.

    Yes, it’s to remark our great leader like no other country did. Charity? Our leader provide enough charity for people’s need through the islamic law. Our mosque also include a donation box for people to donate to people in needs. What we receive in return? We gain ‘pahala’ for our donations for future needs.

    The celebration is to remark our thankfulness to our great leader. It’s also a time where we met in-person with our leader like no other country did.
