Mozambique: Cell phone and society

Categories: Sub-Saharan Africa, Mozambique, Ideas, Technology

Sociologist Elísio Macamo [1] [pt] is working on an interesting series of posts about cell phone use in Mozambique. There have been five articles so far, starting with this introduction to the series last Monday [2]: “The mobile phone, I suggest, has become the way of negotiating individuality and sense of community in today's Mozambique. Understanding the cell phone's ethnography, I think, is to understand Mozambique.”
