Jamaica, China: The Politics of Sport

“What does it say about us that we are willing to put human rights on hold just so we can have something to watch on TV for two weeks? If you ignore what China is doing in Tibet aren’t you in some way responsible?”: Jamaican Marlon James focuses the spotlight on the politics of the upcoming Olympic games.

Britain won the bid to host the next Olympics dispite illegally invading a soverign nation which led to the death of hundreds of thousands of people and counting. Yet no one is questioning wether it’s morally right for Britain to host the games. China in Tibet is nothing in comparison. I detest hypocracy and those people who practice it.
