  • This has been a long time coming. Quite a long time coming…….Combining this with mobile communication adapted to the rural areas and we can really be on our way to a rural information revolution.

  • @jimmy: If I may make a recommendation, once you get your project started please get a free blog started up on wordpress so you can keep potential or future fans in the know about your project.

  • @Jimmy,

i am glad the ICTBOARD has this program up and running. The approach to the would be entrepreneurs who applied is also worth appreciating. I am one of these people and through both e-mail and phone, they have let me know that my application did get to them. Kudos ICTBOARD.
However, I must say that so far, I would wish to know when the training starts from any possible reliable source and the modules therein just incase one is to prepare.

goog to start this project and which can create jobs for investors and employees. also to the community indirectly. but kenya ict board is moving on slowly. will minister for finance allocate funds for to move faster? when is training starting? john.

  • I have always been following the stages of implementing this project, since the advent of the same last year and this year on all media- internet and news papers. I`m glad to read that I have been selected for phase I of the training. It will go a long way to uplifting my remote location where people toil a long way and exorbitant costs to reach; internet, posta, M-pesa and all other electronic services away in town. By learning that the world bank has allocated funds for the training and the board is now seeking for trainers I can`t reserve my standing oviation. Well done for KenyansK

    DIGITAL VILLAGES PROJECT:
Many thanks to the staff of Kenya ICTBoard. They treated us very well as we did our applications at the CCK headquarters. In addition they have kept us informed through SMS. Please keep updating us on this website coz we need to know when to consider ourselves unsuccessful/successful for the purposes of planning.
    God bless you
