Brazil: Here comes the PIG

Categories: Latin America, Brazil, Freedom of Speech, Media & Journalism, Politics

PIG is an acronym for Coupist Press Party [in Portuguese Partido da Imprensa Golpista] which has been coined to describe the Brazilian media that serves to a political interest, that is biased and rely on censorship. The latest victim of PIG, according to some bloggers, is the journalist Tutty Vazquez, who has been sacked from the Veja magazine team. “I think Veja loses much more and Tutty Vasques wins a lot. And we do not miss a thing: to read the acute, precise and well humored Tutty's verve, click here [1]“, blogs Roberto Maciel [2] [pt].
