I’m a portuguese woman who spent 3 years in Hastings, England(1953/56) Where I met lots of persian students, who taught me to be interested in their culture, their landscape and family relationsip. Some came from Rasht, (Michtchi family, if I’m correct). I lost complete track of this family, but my interest on their civilization always remained.
    My best regards,
    Irene from Portugal

My maiden name is Irene Pascoal, and I’m portuguese. As a young girl I went to a finishing school in Hastings, England (1953/56) where I met some persian students. We were very attached to one another, and I learned with them to be very interested in their civilization and culture,to value their family attachments, to visualize their gardens at home, the fragrancy of the flowers and trees, the beauty the mountains; the poets; etc
I was very friendly with some yong people that came from Rasht whose family name, if I’m not wrong, was Michrtchi.
    With my best regards,
    Irene, from Portugal
