Iran:UN report on Iranian nuclear activity

Negarakha says[Fa] a UN report on Iranian nuclear activity just got announced and we don't know that we should be happy or sad. The blogger says while Iranian government celebrates,western countries say the report proves new sanctions should be imposed on Iran.Read about report here.

  • This is an inaccurate characterization of the IAEA report. In fact Iran has answered all the IAEA’s questions. The only remaining items are US allegations — which the IAEA said it has has no reason to believe either.

    This is exactly what the IAEA Director said:

    “[W]e have made quite good progress in clarifying the outstanding issues that had to do with Iran´s past nuclear activities, with the exception of one issue, and that is the alleged weaponization studies that supposedly Iran has conducted in the past. We have managed to clarify all the remaining outstanding issues, including the most important issue, which is the scope and nature of Iran´s enrichment programme. ”

    This is a clean bill of health.
