Iran:Breast kisser sentenced

Dime a Zone writes that an Iranian PhD student in St. John’s, Newfoundland in Canada was sentenced to an additional 18 days in prison for sexually assaulting a woman on an elevator.This student said “you can’t expect all males to control themselves when the breasts are out.”

Armenia: Blogging Congressmen

The Armenian-American Political Action Committee, a new U.S.-based Diasporan lobbying group, has started its own blog. Unlike most Armenian blogs, however, those writing for it are two U.S. Congressmen, Frank Pallone and Joe Knollenberg. The first round of Rising Voices outreach projects have already been training participants in underrepresented communities how to use the tools of citizen media for just over seven months now. Many of the projects are taking their media production skills to the next level by using Windows Movie Maker to produce short video documentaries that reveal the realities of the communities where they live.
