PE Body Count [1] [pt] has an update on the case of media censorship [2] that has been going on in Recife, Brazil, following an interview on TV in which the authorities guarantee the population that there is no censorship in place. Diogo Menezes uncovers the lies in their discourse and concludes: “That's it: if the press doesn't go to the murder places and doesn't show the violence cases to people, it may be easier to achieve the goal of reducing murder rates by 12% in the state of Pernambuco.”
