Dear All human right Activists,
We are sending you this mail from East Africa, Southern Ethiopia, Moyale district. We are Gabra community who live in the southern part of Ethiopia and our livelihood depends on animal husbandry. We are mailing you this short mail to announce the violation of human rights on our community and the ill treatments we are facing from the ruling government.
Just two days ago seven were shot dead and seven were wounded in Arero district of southern Ethiopia and more than six hundred camels were looted by the government supported bandits. Many were raped and more than three hundred house holds are displaced. We are suffering from numerous violations of basic and natural human rights by ethnocentric and narrow tribal leaders deliberately assigned by the ruling party. It is our strong fear that unless human right activists like you directly announce our case to global Medias, more than 70, 000 lives will be endanger. Our people had passed across severe mass massacre in the last twenty years and we strongly fear the same action will be taken on our people.
We strongly request you announce our deep rooted problems.

I hope you have heard about the ethnic cleansing taking place in Borana Zone of Southern Ethiopia. The violence is becoming vicious to the point of questioning the existence of the rule of law. It seems as if the government had launched the application of the theory of social Darwinism. The Gabra people are facing all sorts of harassments ranging from rape to genocide. This ethic minority are targeted by the Borana group over the issues related with grazing land and settlement. The principle of survival of the fittest or majority rule and minority elimination is clearly reflected in Moyale, Yabello and Arero districts of Oromiya ( Ethio-Kenyan border). More than 90 shot dead in the last two months. Children are starving, seniors are being abandoned, women raped and disables are left behind. Please, stretch your humanitarian hands to help Gabra people and rescue them.
