Cameroon: Bate Besong's Beasts of No Nation

A study of Beasts of No Nation, a work by Cameroonian playwright: “Bate Besong is one of the most renown Cameroonian playwright of English expression, besides Bole Butake, Victor Epie Ngome and John Nkemngong, who is of the younger generation of Cameroonian playwrights in English.”

as a Jamaican i was pleased to hear that you Africans are finally getting your act together and talking in the right way,you do however have a long way to go to surpass the sporting and musical achievements of my countrymen.fela is
little known outside Africa and was too arrogant to shorten
his tracks to become an international success. he was every bit as bad as those he sang about.he was a great artist
but no more, anyone can point the finger.as fela did but few can change things.africans must improve their infrastructure or risk the wrath of history(fela is my favorite artist)

  • Eish!! Steven, you have no business insulting Africans. We may have many things falling apart but you (a Jamaican) have no moral obligation to sit behind your high walls and tell us how long a way we have to go before we can catch up with your countrymen. Voetsek! We know how to celebrate our heroes and we have no business comparing them with YOUR SUCCESSFUL heroes! I hate people like you who think Africans are lesser people and more fit for evolution theory!!!
