This might just prove a quite remarkable announcement. Remember the Fax story, one fax is useless because you cannot exactly fax yourself. Two faxes are better. 100 even better. Now in Kenya I am reliably informed that there are 8.7m Safaricom subscribers [2.7M Internet users]. This is without exception the biggest platform/subscriber base. Now imagine all these folk, suddenly start to have email, internet, they can talk to their peers. Imagine what effect this is going to have on GDP?
