First I would like to enquire Tesfaye and Solomon above if they can warrant their claim against the Liberal and Pro-Ethiopianist Politician Dr. Birhanu of CUD. Otherwise, I would seemply label them pesimists or pepole from the other side of the fence. For me this timely coming man is really far-sighted and with much more vision and passion. Yes, I have a living hope that Dr. Berhanu, along with progressive and liberal patriots in the party (CUDP), would move the dwarf politics of Ethiopia into a new stage of development where all citicens of the nation could be respecter equally and be allowed to exercise their civic and politcal rights without any limitations.
I can still imagine and expect people to quote in some way any faults in the deeds of this man. Yet I would still like to ask them that who is perfect person to judge?
Lets give him a chance and see if he lives upto his own words and the principles of the party and expectations of the oppressed Ethiopians.

Dr Birhanu is the hope of millions of Ethiopians but he got some serious enemies like EPRP and power hungry diaspora politicians who has been taking the money of diaspora Ethiopians in the name of political and armed struggle. Until the visit to America, I had not lost hope on this man, considered him the man of integrity and genuinly seeking change for Ethiopia. In fact, I supported the cause of CUD trusting him. “Opportunist and starved for fame and power” would suit him very well. Ethiopia is better of without any of the gang.
Better for him to apply for Job at Hanna Gobeze’s office.
Well, he will never return to Ethiopia anyway, he rather prefers to Join ONLF from the sentiment of his speech recently. This is the man we all hoped had vision for Ethiopia.
Dr. Birhanu is one of the best outspoken openminded visionery leader our country ever had.
I wish if people like him get together and moblize all behind them with there beautiful words and deeds … so that our country could enjoy the fruits of living in free society.

Dr. Birhanu will end up like LIDETU who was exaggerated for his jingoistic and kicked out by leaders and supporter of CUD who don’t understand the reality of Ethiopia and free choice of a person. The CUD leader’s exactly knew that Lidatu was the only person who could challenge them for the power. We have seen all CUD leaders from the establishment how much they are greedy for power and backbiting each other. Dr Birhan is no more than a person who adore power. CUD is just Coalition Unity for Destruction of Ethiopia. one should know that most of CUD leader’s including Birhanu had been participating in IHAPA bloody time and brutal Derge regime. Furthermore, Birhanu was the right hand side person for Wayane until they denied him the power that he is now crying for it. We shouldn’t exaggerate that much any politician, specially those politician that were emerged during IHAPA bloody time and those scholars educated by Hilessilasse. They ar responsible for what they inherit for our generation. WE NEED NEW GENERATION WHO AR INSPIRED FOR CHANGE AND WHO KNOW THE REALITY OF ETHIOPIA. Dr Berehanu is an opportunist power monger who is there only to acsend himself to power using flowery words about democracy as a political ladder. his recent activity on attacking Hailu Shawel using his media advocates is so shamefull and no one can forgive him for his evil thought against the patriotic Hailu.
On one of the questions Dr. Berehanu answered in his usaul tricky way regarding his friendship with TPLF leaders, he said “We have to end-up animosity amongst each other ….”. If he is willing to be a drinking buddy with TPLF leaders (number one enemies for the Ethiopian people), what makes him so hateful to Hailu Shawel, his chairman in which he servered 2 years in jail for the ethiopian people cause. We have heard him and the incompetence Bertukan bombarding Hailu with insults and accusations to only end-up to be hated by Ethiopians.
Dr. Berehanu’s nature is clearly visible now. He is a power monger and he wants to see himself being in the place of Hailu Shawel as a chairman of the CUD. he said he fights dictatorship, but he himself is a dictator. He is a useless politican who only knows hot to make good speeches in which he learn’t from Democrats and Republicans in the US due to his long time stay as a US residence
Dr.Birhanu comes from hard working family who has developed the art of making wealth through a love of a country whereas the thug(dureye)Melles comes from a banda
parents known selling the interest of that land to enemies.Melles has never worked and paid tax nor his parents but he got the freedom to kill and distroy a land he grew up abusing so how on earth would anyone compare the incomparable unless she or him are Bandas.
Even if Dr. Birhanu in the future becomes the best Prime Minister or the best of whatever, the water is stained. For some people it is not going to be easy to flter it, because the trust has been betrayed in several occasions.
What Prof. Mesfin stated as “power struggle” between CUD preisident Ato Hailu Shawel and Dr. Birhanu in my opinion is, each might have a different kind of power struggle and that can exist. The kind Dr. Birhanu has, could also be the fact that his brain child Kistedemena did not go through its own course under all of his capablity and seen it fully bloosom nurished in his own energy and creativity. He has not let go off that party, as if some one has given their child for adoption and even if they agree to share with the adoptive parents, the process of attachment had not been completed. The short cut attempt to empower Kestedemna, I believe had caused several conflicts.
The delegation of five/The Birhanu-Birtukan group officially in action and in many subtle ways has made it clear to the public, they take the lead as to what Kinijit is. If they care for Ethiopia, it might be time to become Kistedemena, put all their resources, support, creative energy and any other and all and just expand and grow on it. No matter what the differences between political partys, this was and is too much. The group under him, the chapters, admirers and all can go with them. To me that is the beginning of freedom. The “missionaries” of Democracy as Al Mariam refered to them, if free in spirit and confident in the future, why not split and set the confused Ethiopians free from this consuming madness. The sooner it is made official, the less head ache and hostility.
What is the deal?. solidify as Kestedemena and after you get over all the “thurst” merge with other parties in the future.
