Ghana: Female Ghanaian Hip Hop

What is the state of female Ghanaian hip hop?:”Ever since hiplife became part and parcel of Ghanaian music, the female hiplife artistes have been holding it down. Talk of Abrewa Nana, Triple M (Manye Mercy), Mzbel, LA (made up of Lateefah and Asantewaa), Ras Nigga, etc – they have been matching their male counterparts boot for boot.”

cool it will be good that ghanaian females make it bigger and better out side there….

  • its good to hear our female hip hop artist coming out like that. I hardly listen to it but my daugther brougth my attention to it which made me listen to it carefully as i drive on the road as a truck driver. I think they should be mindful of their choice of words and the content of the music. Good job and waiting to hear more good music from the Ghanaian female hip hop.

  • dunno why I never saw this.
    Thanks for the post Ndesanjo.

There are some more young female artistes coming out of Ghana now, prominent among them being Becca. She is one person to check out – http://www.museke.com/node/1330
