This exhibition , received a mixed review from the New York Times, but I have seen the catalogue it looks great .

Also please note that On November 1-4, 2007, the First Annual International Caribbean Art Fair, ICAFair ,will be held at The Puck Building, 295 Lafayette St., in New York City, exclusively featuring artworks created by artists of Caribbean heritage.
So there’s evidence that there’s increasing interest in Caribbean Art
The list of art-related events themed around Caribbean culture this fall 2007 should also include the “Caribbeance” show at the Skylight Gallery (Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corp, 1368 Fulton St.) which showcases 20 artists of Caribbean heritage and their exploration of the American influence on their art. It is on view until October 9, 2007 with an artist talk on Saturday October 6, 2-5PM.
Also, contemporary Caribbean art is explored in the Premiere issue of the magazine “Brooklyn Fine Art” (Sept. 2007)
