This is the most important election to wreck or kickstart the development process in our beloved country. Fellow Sierra Leonens, lets take it very serious. International community, please help us in this process, dont take sides, just ensure that the views of the people are heard. The ruling party (SLPP) has done a lot for this country especially in bringing peace, promoting democracy and awareness to all. But peace alone is not what this country needs, we need equal right, justice and development. This is lacking in the country, thats what the results is depicting. Ofcourse with peace we believe we can get all of this. But allow others to make their input by just backing out. No one party or individual can give us all this, trust me. Lets allow other party or individual to make a try. So that in the process, the SLPP will utlized the time out to study and strategies if and only if the other party (to be specific APC) fail to deliver. I am not an admirer of both parties, but since they are two parties contesting for the hot seat, lets give them a try. Fellow Sierra Leonean, 2012 will see them all out. we are going all out for a new breed of politician.

History has a harbit of repeating it self, if it was to repeat itself, it will indecate that the APC is a political part which is doom to fail us all. It sadden me to be represented by this party, who was responsible for educational, social and economic decline and the derailment of the political movement of Sierra Leone.

Nevertheless, democracy is all about freedom of choice, association and speech, and the people of Sierra leone has spoken, making a choice in chosing the APC as their elected representatives.

In this, we must whole heartedly congratulate the people of Sierra Leone. However, this radical choice that they had made could make or break the whole democratic revolutionary process. It painful to even reflect on the reckless leadership of the APC over the last thirty years, with great econmic and political misfortune.

It will leave a bitter taste in any sensible head with indepth sense of our political history and the role of the APC in Sierra leone systematical decline from grace that they have again been given full autonomy of our future.

In my opinion, the APC is a political system that should have been disband and not allowed to partake in any political action, movement ever. They and they alone are responsible for our great country economic and social decline. The people of Sierra Leone has made a strong and obcsene choice. They, by chosing the APC as their representatives, has fail to recognise the struggle many had fought against this party corrusive way.

This polical party corrupt our nation, consequently as a result many died.and manier are still dying, suffering.

What can they offer us, that they could not offer when they were in power some thirty years ago. In opposition, they had no vision, insight, no ecosociological solution for the country internal and external problem.

Their economic policy are a farce, and offer no resolution. They dont have a clue of competitives fiscal and monetary programme. It truly a shame that our people had again made a fundamental mistake, that will cost them dearly in the next five years.

The SLPP in their quest to bring economic, health and educational success to the social and political system has made unprecedented mistake and had not learnt any lessson from previous undertaking of political powers as elected representatives of Sierra Leone.

It will take not the APC, but great economic and social thinkers to exercise the economic muscles of sierra leone within the west african states and beyound.

CIVIL SOCIETY POSITION PAPER ON THE ECONOMIC PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT (EPA) FOR SIERRA LEONE GOVERNMENT ATTENTION.

We the undersigned civil society organisations having met and deliberated on the EPAs at the Miatta Conference Centre, Youyi building, Freetown, on the 27th September 2007, have noted the following:

That the African Caribbean Pacific (ACP) countries, comprising 77 members are expected to sign up to the EPA by 31st December 2007. The EPAs which the European Union (EU) is trying to impose on ACP countries are in complete contrast with the objective and principle of the Lome Convention, which sought the provision of preferential access to European markets by ACP countries.

That the EU under the EPAs is seeking a very extensive and essentially reciprocal liberation of trade. The negotiations are one-sided and heavily skewed towards the pursuits of the interest of a few large companies and business federations in the EU. This agreement has the potential of improvising ACP countries of which Sierra Leone is a member. It is the widely held notion that globalization in all its forms leads to economic domination of poor and weak states like Sierra Leone by powerful nations.

That Civil Society groups in other countries like Nigeria have intensified their campaigns to lobby their leaders not to sign up to the EPAs. In Sierra Leone, NMJD, Youth Partnership for Peace and Development, GCAP and other civil society activists have resolved to campaign against the EPAs and urge our government not to sign up to the Agreement, due to the following reasons
