View from Iran writes that Haleh Esfandiari [1],Iranian-American scholar,is free now.The blogger says [2] that Esfandiari's mother had to put up her house as bail. This is the case time and time again. It is one way that the regime retains control over its middle class population. The family's financial security is held hostage.Esfandiari has been in jail for several months without having access to lawyer or medical treatment.She was accused of acting agiants “national security”.She is 67 years old.
