Sierra Leone: election update

Sierra Leone election update: “Pre-Elections Last Week, the first ever presidential debates were held in Freetown at Lagoonda Entertainment Complex and this young wannabe scored tickets curtesy of a friend with the BBC. All parties were represented at the Debate besides the SLPP….Berewa refused to attend the debate because as he believed who ever was hosting it had no authority to call him to a debate and what not.”

  • i realy want to know what will be the reaction of the sierra leoneans when the result will be published. For me i hope and pray that there will be a peaceful atmosphere.

  • I am happy that so far there hasn’t been any report of violence and fighting in my beloved country. My question will be to the people trying to be president of Sierra Leone. What really have they done for that country? when the country is dirty, no job, no electricity, no better educatiuon and poor health. Please brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, cousins etc make sure you cast your vote for someone that will develop the country not someone that will steal all our resources and run to another country. It is time for them to change their attitudes. Please politicians think twice and put the country first before your selfish needs.

Why do people keep anticipating violence. I am sure that the days of violence elections are over in Sierra leone. Have we not learnt a lesson from the 10 years of civil war in the country. Whoever wins, we have overcomed the issue of violence and we will embrace each other and work for the development of the country.
