    SEVEN candidates ?
    ONLY SEVEN ?

and only an average of 5 per parliamentary seat ?

i wonder what explains those low number, especially compared to the usual african elections (there was an average of 10 candidates per parliamentary seats in congo-brazzaville recently for instance). is there legal “pruning” (petitions, wealth requirment, requirments for political parties) ?

it better that here are only SEVEN candidates, because you don’t want the wrong person in power. i’m so happy this election is internationally observe and i want APC to win. The SLPP party was too corrupt.

we accept that the election is free and fair according to the observers. but why it is taking longer to know the winner in a small country like sierra leone with 2.6 million registered voter

whatever be the outcome of these elections there is going to be a formidable opposition in the next parlainent.

I am afraid to say that the longer it takes for results of the elections to be announced the more skeptical I become of the free and fairness of the elections and who the eventual winner is.

I enjoy watching the return process. Polls are of little use – wait until the ballots are counted. It is a long process but that is one of the joys of freedom. Good luck to a country we love.
