Kuwait: Despite the Summer, it's Never Quiet in Here!

It's still summer here. The mercury is rising but Kuwaitis still go for traditional activities during the summer.

Pepsi Guy blogs about his first boat trip and gives a warning [1].

After a long wait, I finally got to take my boat on it's 1st test drive. The weather was amazing, boat ride was cool (though we had to drive slowly to break down the new engines) and the dive was excellent.

Zdistrict goes to his cousin's Saturday Dewaniya (gathering place for men attached to homes), but this time there is a secret [2]!

Then he pulled out one bag, then the other guy asked where was his, then he pulled out a second bag, then the third person asked where was his, and he pulled a third bag. All of that just like he was Santa Claus, I wanted him to pull out another bag just for the hell of it.

breezeey didn't take any precautions and got hit hard by the sun [3].

احترق ويهي من الشمس .. و ما هقيت جذي بيصير !! بس قلعتي !!! أكو أحد يطب بالقايلة بدون ما يحط كريمات تحفظ او على الأقل
SUN BLOCK ?????
طبيت و ما خذيت الموضوع بجدية .. قالولي البحر غــدار بس ما صدقت .. لوول .. صج كليتها ألحين

My face got burned from the sun and I didn't expect it to be like this but it's my fault. Is there someone who would go in the blazing sun of the noon and not apply creams or sun block?

لاني قادرة أطلع ولا أقابل الناس .. كلمة محترق شوية على ويهي

I jumped into the sea and I didn't take it seriously. They told me that the sea is a backstabber but now I regret it because I can't go out or see people – burnt is an understatement about my face.

Forzaq8 [4] found out that the sun got into someones head.

In an Interview with Alwatan Daily in Kuwait for the Week Topic (which was about blogging, more like attacking bloggers), the Secretary of the Kuwaiti Journalists Association said what is on his mind about bloggers, which is amazing what he think of blogs, and how many times he shows that he demands they be closed or controlled and that coming from a guy who is supposed to ask for more freedom of speech is priceless irony

Flugtag [5] seems to be the new fad in Kuwait and there is more than one blogger entering it! One of the teams is led by none other Nibaq [6] and he is joined by three other bloggers!

ABNE & Co is proud to announce its first Red Bull-flugtag flying endeavor, Team Imperial27, in remembrance of Imperial Airways’ first Kuwaiti in 1927. The team will be composed of lead pilot and magician Nibaq (pilot), accompanied by conspiring engineering extraordinaries Marzouq, Mark and K.
