The day ostensibly started well, with a reconciliatory tone as Taiwanese and Chinese scholars just the day before had moved to team up on research into the resistance. Then, assuming this is related, a couple was seen driving a horse-drawn buggy with what appears to be a homemade cruise missile sitting in the back through downtown Beijing, at which point they were stopped by police. Didn’t this happen last year? I’m sure I’ve seen those photos before.
That would be unfortunate. I asked around some of the net addicts I know but it was a first for them. Please do post the link here if you find an earlier version.
Sorry, but I have no idea where I would’ve seen these pictures before, but I do remember seeing something similar. It’s the kind of thing I most likely would’ve seen on Danwei or ESWN, if anywhere. Anyway, I could well be wrong.
