No Longer At Ease weighs in on the idea of building a United States of Africa: “When I heard about the idea being discussed in the AU summit of creating a United States of Africa I thought it was just another laughable idea from Gaddafi. But then I found out that it was the only item on the agenda! Believe or not, African leaders will spend full three days debating it.”

ah yes, The Grand Debate on Union Government….. Utterly absurd. Nobody really wants it but as it was the idea of one of the independence leaders, it must be considered as being of substance and to some degree useful. Like Dodoma being Tanzania’s capital.. Thankfully Tz’s Kikwete left early, but didn’t have the cojones to reject the idea. “Yes but not yet….”. They could have debated, off the top of my head, climate change, for example. But no….
i believe africa will united and we will have more power than any one in the world, i know the west is againsing it that is why we hear so many negative stuff in western media and our own medias about gaddafi against african leaders we hard this before when nkurumah was alive, but this time we will have united states of africa
