Hong Kong: Queen's Pier July 1 party

Last night, during the 10th anniversary firework celebration, hundreds of local citizens disobedyed police warning, entered the Queen's Pier surrounded by iron bar and enjoy the firework, music and dancing there. has two citizen reports, one by mac donald, he wrote from an outsider perspective: the police has turned the Queen's Pier into a big prison with all the iron bars extending from the pier, to the edinburg place to the old star ferry… (zh); one by tsw, an insider telling the story about the negotiation with the police and how they mobilized the ordinary citizens to go inside the pier for viewing the firework.
