Cannibalism in Qatar

After a week of rumours about a case of cannibalism amongst a group of foreign workers in Doha, the story has finally been confirmed. Qatari points to an article in the local press where doctors found a finger in the stomach of a worker who had come in with a severe stomach pain (which was a result of eating human flesh). Apparently the victim was eaten by four men after they murdered him – it seems they ate him in order to dispose of the body.

UPDATE : This story is not true. The local press mis-reported it.

Jobsites where all men of different nationalities are mixed together…….should have a random rounds by POLICE especially at night to check. Qatar is one of the safest places on earth to live! It’s scary!!!! that this thing happened. I hope this will be the first and last news of CANNIBALISM in QATAR.

Why do Cannibals devour human flesh especially in this rich emirate of the GULF? Maybe of hatred & vengeance to the enemy. Do they have money to sustain their daily life? Is their salary enough to survive a family & their daily needs to meet the high cost of living? I presume this is not the first time for them to eat human flesh. They are unlucky, they are in Qatar and no excuse for them to be pardoned. I strongly suggest that there should be a minimum wage for every employee ( professional & non-professional) to live a simple dignified life. There should be a safe haven for the oppressed, the weak and the minority in the Industrial Area so they can run and save their lives when there’s nowhere to run & hide & nobody to protect. Poor South East Asians came here to work just for a few Qatar Riyals, it’s very, very sad and very, very distressful for the family back home to know that their son died and dismembered by a co-worker…………and devoured.
