Ukraine: Elton John and the Fake Philanthropists

Ukrainiana writes about Ukraine's horrifying AIDS statistics and the wrong crowd that Elton John has gotten himself into.

  • The ‘AIDS epidemic’ in the Ukraine is no such thing. It is the predicted low dose, long term effects of the Chernobyl accident. It clearly is in everyone’s economic interests (International actions for damages could cost the near bankrupt State a fortune and then there is the powerful nuclear lobby to contend with too) to attribute the diseases and immune suppression to ‘AIDS’ and hope everyone has a short memory.

  • Months of political crisis following a power struggle between the president and the parliamentary government arising from division within the president’s own political party and you write a commentary, condemning the good will and intent of those trying to drive home the important message about the spread of AIDS, Guilt by association,. Sorry but I find this commentary overwhelming bias and somewhat misleading as the significance and merit of the orange Revolution. (Which was not a revolution but more like well orchestrated and managed political protest which has now become part of Ukraine political landscape). Whilst I am critical of both Elton John and his sponsors I think the event held in Kyiv last month did not merit the or justify the critical comments made.
