Lebanese blogger Sophia translates a newspaper article which caught her eyes here.
‘The original title is ‘Deep Rooted Racism in Lebanon’. I decided to translate this article after hearing this evening ordinary Lebanese on most world news channels giving to the press racist remarks about Palestinians. There was even a doctor who volunteered to help the army who answered Radio Canada's journalist question about what is happening in the camp Nahr El-Bared with this sentence: ”You know they are not Lebanese”, meaning ‘we can kill them because they are lower casts, inferior’. This doctor forgot however that Lebanese kill other Lebanese,’ she explains.

Hi Amira,
Many people around me, who are not Lebanese, feel lost and are trying hard to understand what is happening in Lebanon. It is for them and for those Lebanese who prefer not to understand that I wrote this article, to force into minds an inconvenient truth. Thanks for linking.
You are more than welcome Sophie. Thanks for the effort in translating that particular article!
