Alain Mabanckou on the new French government

Congolese poet-novelist Alain Mabanckou writes about several politicians from the left who were given positions in France's new conservative government, as well as the appointment of France's first African Minister of Justice, Rachida Dati ^[1], the daughter of Moroccan and Algerian immigrants. On the basis of these appointments, he calls France's new government, “a government of openess that should be encouraged ^[2],” (Fr) inciting a flurry of comments from readers who think Mabanckou is being much too generous and wonder why he did not comment on the new Ministry of National Identity and Immigration.
