Bangladesh: “Soft” Bombs

The bombers used thick layers of paper and leather to make the bombs harmless; not only that, no traces of splinters have been found, which shows that the intention was to create “shock and awe”, rather than causing injury. According to a reporter, the bombs were harmless: “It would not have harmed him or her if he or she had sat on the bombs.””
