Mali: the incumbent leads the poll in Mali, opposition grumbles

Sociolingo's Mali blogs about the presidential elections in Mali: “OK, tis official, ATT [Amadou T. Toure] is leading the poll. There was a press conference last night and here are the early results courtesy of www.maliweb.net. I note that the participation rate of 37.9 is quite respectable and higher than anticipated, but this is only 52 communes out of 703 so things can change. Opposition parties are still grumbling away about irregularities etc but so far the observers seem happy.”
