You’re misquoting the linked post. He says that he is bothered by a culture that seems to applaud those who “appear on tv proudly saying that if they were guerrilla, paramilitaries or soldiers, they would be guerrilla, paramilitaries or soldiers with their rifles“. He is refering to a recent tv appearance by colombian president Álvaro Uribe confronting the accusations towards him by a congressman who used to be part of a long extinguished guerrilla group. Uribe seems to think that the courage of carring guns and using them is preferable to that of people who choose to express their political views argumenting and discussing them.
The guerrilla are recruiting as militants of the narc-terrorist organization (farc) children as young as 13 year old that are forced to the most dangerous places in guerrilla warfare. That is the cause of death for children in Colombia. When is people going to understand that there is not such a thing as the guerrilla helping poor but exporting drug and forcing the government to spend the money of the needed to keep democracy.
