Blogger in Morocco surmises on causes for recent bombings

Everything Morocco reports on local reactions to the Casablanca bombings last Saturday in an article entitled “Is Morocco Still Safe?”
“To get right to the point, the root of the problem is poverty with all of its accompanying desperation and hopelessness. When there are high-rise apartments overlooking shanty towns and five-star boutique hotels sitting next to crumbling medina hovels, the disparity between wealth and poverty becomes so stark that it's impossible NOT to wonder why things aren't worse. In Casablanca alone, it is estimated nearly 5000 children live on the streets. If this is the published estimate, chances are its more,” the blogger writes.
