Africa: confusing trolling and debating

Categories: Sub-Saharan Africa, Freedom of Speech, Technology

A Nigeria blogger, eshuneutics, joins the debate about blogger's code of conduct [1]: “The civil values that we prize today were not built upon polite speech. The pamphleteers of the seventeenth century—the bloggers of their day—were renowned for transgressions and fierce intellectual argument. A Code of Conduct is not going to restrict trolling.”
