The Hong Kong Government urged the public [1]to name the two Pandas, a gift from the central government to Hong Kong to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of reunification. Fou Sing from inmediahk.net suggested to name them “Po Po”, “Suen Suen”, meaning universal suffrage [2] (zh). In the comment section there are more suggestions, such as “Star Ferry”, “Queen's Pier”, and “July 1″ and “June 4″.
